In the SNES version, you continue from the start of the level after a game over instead of the entire world, and the SNES version adds more 1-ups as well. Lost Levels on the other hand, is significantly easier on Super Mario Bros All-Stars. There are probably some other difficulty changes I'm not remembering since I tend to stick to the NES version of that game. Take the tube upwards to the level's exit.Now, if you're talking about the US version of SMB2, afaik, the main difficulty change was that you could select your character again after you die. Keep leaping off Bills until you get to the coin. Use the barrage of Bills to leap towards the coin in the upper left. In the area above you'll encounter more Bullet Bills than you bargained for. You can also use a Propeller Mushroom to fly up the pipe. Either freeze one with an ice ball or just jump on one to get a boost up. To get to this pipe you'll need to use the Bullet Bills firing from the far left. It's a green warp pipe hanging in the upper right. ![]() ![]() The final coin in this level is in a secret warp pipe just past the red warp pipe leading to the flag area. You have to stand on the top platform(without tilting the Wii remote), and drop down to the other platform below. The second coin is between two platforms you can control by tilting your Wii Remote. Instead, use the Banzai Bill to get a boost into the first coin in the upper right. Just before the giant Banzai Bill canon at the end of the first stretch is the red pipe leading to the rest of the level.
